NMABE Teacher Vision Statement 3.23.07 Revision
It is the vision of the New Mexico Adult Education teachers that:All teachers will have the resources, training, and support needed to provide adult students with the most effective and engaging learning experience and environment possible.
All teachers will have access to and the ability to share effective strategies for helping students learn.
All teachers have the opportunity to deepen their commitment to aid adult students to achieve their educational and life goals.
We as teachers manifest our commitment to teaching not only with students but with each other, gaining power not only through individual passions but also through investment in the community of teachers as a sustainable organization that profits from remaining daring, engaged, and dynamic.
The Teacher Support Team will create and maintain a broad-based teacher support network by:
-- working with Professional development provider to allocate funding for events, meetings, conference participation, etc.
-- facilitating communications, i.e., website, newsletters, press releases, meetings, etc.
-- advocating for teachers’ concerns and needs, i.e., State Resource Team, Higher Education Department, NMAEA.
-- revisiting mission statement annually
